About the role
Recognising the importance of social media exposure, done right, we need someone with expertise to help us to improve the health of Aussie blokes.
We seek assistance in managing information postings, event promotion/publicity on FaceBook and LinkedIn, but most importantly utilising our YouTube channel effectively. Our YouTube channel is for broadcasting our Celebrity and Information interviews along with a Men’s Cooking Show we are developing. Our content is all under control but we need help with managing the posting and maintaining of the platforms.
About the organisation
Basix 4 Blokes is a registered health promotion charity with a mission to "encourage and empower men to take ownership of their own health".
We utilise a "modelling" rather than "lecturing" model. As such we utilise the voices and experiences of celebrity males who have had health challenges that they have overcome. Stories that inspire and can be learned from, but most importantly they model and destigmatise men having conversations about their health.
Fundamental to our cause is helping men find their own compelling "reason" to become a healthier version of themselves. Our mantra is a belief that "when you find your WHY, your HOW finds you".
We run Men's Cooking Courses (Kitchen Confidence) and are developing workshops to help blokes find their "WHY". Our list of male celebrities who are willing to be vulnerable and tell their own stories of health challenges/battles is ever increasing. Their stories are primarily told on our YouTube channel, along with interesting health professionals reporting on new/unusual health developments that stimulate interest in men's health by "everyday" blokes.
